Kinexus is striving to be a world leader in development and application of proteomics and bioinformatics for the discovery of novel diagnostics and therapeutics based on leading-edge knowledge of cellular communication systems.

We have created a unique business model where our clients are also our valued partners in the common pursuit of knowledge for the betterment of human health. Our founders are academic scientists committed to basic biomedical research and its translation to medical advancement as well as education.

Our shareholders are not only seeking a financial return on their investment, but they also want their investment to foster the development of personalized medicine to reduce disease and improve human welfare.

To these ends, we have crafted a unique suite of products and services to advance facilitate signal transduction research in the scientific community. We have made this website a major educational resource and portal for cell signalling information.
For example, our Products website is also a repository of thousands of previously unpublished immunoblot images. Finally, our growing open-access suite of knowledgebases in the SigNET Knowledgebank demonstrates our unwavering commitment to supporting the biomedical research community for over two and a half decades.

Our objectives have been to provide high value to our clients at the lowest costs and still maintain a viable and sustainable business. All of our products and services have their strengths and weaknesses, and we have aimed to be honest and transparent about their limitations.

History

Founded as a spin-out company from the University of British Columbia in July 1999, Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation has benefitted from the combined talents of over a hundred employees and two hundred university students over the past two and a half decades. Seed funding from venture capital funds and high net worth investors, generous government grant support, and revenues from the sales of our products and services to our valued clients have all been instrumental in the continued success of the company.


Vision

Our vision has been to provide high quality, cost-effective innovative products and services to researchers engaged in signal transduction research for the discovery of biomarkers for early disease diagnosis, identification of potential drug targets, and the development of therapeutics for treatment. We are also compelled to advancing our basic understanding of the mysteries of molecular intelligence systems that have evolved in living systems, and tracking and mapping their composition and architecture.
